SUPERMODEL-turned-designer Erin Wasson launched her first jewellery collection in the UK this week, exclusively on MY-WARDROBE.COM and – as expected from the girl who has been a muse to designers from Alexander Wang to Justin Timberlake – it has more than a little of the rock chick about it.
Low Luv X By Erin Wasson debuted on the Alexander Wang catwalk for autumn/winter 2008 and features chunky rings, cuffs, crucifix necklaces and bracelets plated in gold and silver and adorned with scarabs, bones and armour.

About Kara Ross

Kara Ross’ jewelry design started at the age of 13, with a trip to Africa and a piece of native tourmaline. She created a square cut ring from the stone and surrounded it with diamonds set on an 18k gold band. She never lost the touch.
Now a Gemological Institute of America certified gemologist, Ross has spent five years designing elegant pieces with character and imagination. Prompted by a need for uniqueness and inspired by alternative materials such as marcasite, lava and chalcedony, Ross creates the types of pieces you would expect to find at a bazaar- with the luxury of a master jeweler.

ARIELLE de PINTO

A fine arts graduate of Concordia University in 2007, Canadian designer Arielle de Pinto developed her unique style of metal work over the course of studies in print and textiles and a series of internships.Launching a line later that same year Arielle is a regular participant in New York and Paris fashion weeks and her collection of hand-worked jewelry is presented by select specialty stores internationally.In addition to her own work and Montreal-based studio, Arielle collaborates with other designers within the artistic communities of New York, Montreal, and Berlin.

Philip Crangi

2008 CFDA Swarovski Accessories Designer winner, Philip Crangi, describes his work as having "an aesthetic that is a contrast of material, color and mood". Having launched his label in 2001 - taking inspiration from diverse sources such as Greco-Roman, Baroque ironwork, Japanese armor and punk - the Manhattan-based fine jeweler has developed a reputation for creating modern day heirlooms. Lara Bohinc's stunning jewelry, clutches and sunglasses are essential accessories for every stylish girl. Founded by sisters Danielle and Jodie Snyder in 2008, DANNIJO jewelry is hand-made in New York and offers an eclectic range of designs. With the juxtaposition of varied mixed metals--oxidized silver, gold, and gunmetal-- and the introduction of colorful elements --drusy quartz, crystals, aqua aura and pearls-- DANNIJO pieces seamlessly combine indie hipster style with timeless sophistication, resulting in statement pieces that emit a polished uptown feel with a raw downtown flair. Growing up in Jacksonville, Florida, Danielle and Jodie’s creative instincts led them to jewelry design at an early age. Karen Erickson and Vicki Beamon are responsible for resurrecting the choker and making the word 'chandelier' mean more than just a fancy light fixture. DAVID & MARTIN

The jewellery brand David & Martin was born out of a mutual interest in art, movies, fashion and nature. David Andersson and Martin Lasson met whilst studying at Konstfack in Stockholm and initially they began creating a collection of furniture.After the success of their graduation project in 2003, which consisted of a crafted, fully furnished room complete with jewellery, they rapidly generated a loyal following. This culminated their first significant breakthrough, a collaboration with Karl Lagerfeld Gallery. They also teamed up with Acne, Weekdays (H&M), NK, Colette in Paris, Absolut Spirits, the photographer Martin Vallin to mention a few.
David & Martin do not allow trends or fashions to infringe on their distinct philosophy that their pieces should remain timeless. All new collections are treated as a welcome addition to their existing work, a bit like work in progress or as an inspiring working archive.
In many cases the inspiration comes in the most peculiar forms and imagination. The "Chicken feet" collection was created after seeing a beautiful girl on a Shanghai subway munching deep fried chicken feet and simultaneously flicking through French Vogue.

Carol marie

about carol marie designsInspired by the ability of jewelry to transform your look, designers Jennifer Carol Kramer and Heather Marie White launched carol marie for Fall 2010.

A combination of their middle names, carol marie incorporates an underlining vintage aesthetic with mixed materials creating statement pieces designed to easily update your wardrobe from season to season. The collection evolved out of the designers shared love for statement jewelry. While each piece is strong enough to be worn on its own, the collection is designed to be layered together. Although Jen and Heather prefer a more layered look, the collection can be interpreted to fit the wearer's personal sense of style. Signature styles include pendant chain and multi strand necklaces along with a variety of stackable bracelets resulting in a line of accessories that is both inclusive and accessible. Jen and Heather met in 2006 while working at W Magazine; Heather as the Fashion Assistant and Jen freelancing fulltime in the accessories department. They remained close friends throughout job changes within the industry, Jen most recently in the accessories department at Marie Claire while Heather transitioned out of editorial and currently works at a PR agency in New York. They began by scouring flea markets and making pieces for their own wardrobes and transitioned into making custom pieces for magazines. Judith Haas

Judith Haas, originally from the Netherlands, moved from Amsterdam to New York in 1999. Two years later she started making jewelry and taking courses at FIT. Currently Judith Haas's jewelry is being sold in boutiques across the country and abroad. She found inspiration for her designs in the natural elements of plants, sun and water and in the work of the Catalan architect Antonio Gaudi. As in nature none of her pieces are regular and absence of symmetry is a constant characteristic in her work. The techniques of wax carving and metal smithing are Judith’s sculpting methods, as they allow her to create pieces that have both graceful lines and the strength of metal. The simple yet elegant designs make them easy to wear and integrate into any style. The materials primarily used are Sterling Silver, Bronze, 14k Gold and semi precious stones.
